Imam Khomeini's Views on Academic Institutions and Academicians is a compilation extracted from Sahifa of Imam Khomeini, which is a collection of Imam's speeches, messages, interviews, decrees, letters, and selected works. It was originally published in the Persian language and translated to English by The Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works. After the Iranian Islamic revolution, based on the teachings and guidelines of Imam Khomeini, the curriculum of schools, colleges and universities was revised to be in line with the aims and objectives of the Islamic government. The policies of the ministry of higher education, the ministry of education and training, the ministry of science and technology and the ministry of health were made based on the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The book has eight sections comprising of Imam Khomeini's views on The Great Value of Knowledge in Islam, The Condition of Iranian Universities before the Islamic Revolution, The Role of Universities in the Cultural Revolution, The Mission of Universities, University Faculty Members in the view of Imam Khomeini, University Students in the views of Imam Khomeini, Pursuing Higher Education Abroad and finally Cooperation between Seminaries (Howzeh) and Universities.
